About us

Who’s cooking, and why the welcome is personal

Graham’s Kitchen is a chef-led restaurant on Hemonystraat in De Pijp. The food is casual fine dining, cooked to the season. The welcome is personal. Both come straight from the people you’re about to meet.

Graham Mee

Graham Mee left Liverpool for the kitchens of London and the Netherlands — and stayed. Ten years ago, he opened Graham’s Kitchen on Hemonystraat: a small, chef-led dining room in De Pijp, with a personal welcome at its heart.

It’s as much a neighbourhood restaurant as a reason to cross town: for an unhurried dinner for two, a table of friends celebrating, or simply a very good Tuesday night.

Head Chef

Anastasios Metaxas

Anastasios cooks with seasonality, restraint and a deep respect for each ingredient: vegetables often take the leading role, and simplicity, handled with precision, does the talking.

His path runs through some of Europe’s most acclaimed Michelin-starred kitchens: Geranium in Copenhagen, then The White Room and Wils in Amsterdam, before more than a year at Restaurant BREDA, first as sous-chef, then chef de cuisine. At Graham’s Kitchen he leads a kitchen built on trust, curiosity and care.

The wider team

In good hands

From the first glass to the last coffee, the whole team works the same way the kitchen does: carefully, warmly, and without hurry. Reviews mention the staff nearly as often as the food, which is exactly how we like it.
